Have you heard of Aurelio Voltaire?
If you love Halloween and/or the Goth Lifestyle he should be on your radar.
He's a multi-talented musician, author, artist, animator and more.
His instagram bio reads "A Gothic Homemaker, horror host, raconteur, world-traveling minstrel and all around cunning linguist."
I love his music, especially his dark and campy sing along songs like When You're Evil and Brains. My kids (and me) adore his album, Spooky Songs for Creepy Kids, which features his songs from the Cartoon Network's show The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.
I've had the pleasure of seeing him perform at The Flint Vampire Ball several times and had a chance to chat with him. Here's a photo of of him and I at the 2014 Vampire Ball. ->
Recently I discovered his Gothic Homemaking Series on Youtube. Here are two of my favorite episodes. I've been wanting to make a Goth Birdhouse for awhile and his Black Metal Church Nightlight has reinvigorated that desire. And I am seriously lusting after his coffin shaped wardrobe (and most of his furniture featured in the videos - drool).
I need to watch the more of the videos for inspiration and simply to lust after his furniture.
Love love love Voltaire and so happy to have found him online! Excellent write up and can't wait to see how you tackle his projects! :)
