The Empress- indulge your senses, self care, letting go, allowing yourself to experience what you enjoy. The Empress knows that in order to care for others, we must first take care of ourselves.
Ace of Cups- a new start, set yourself free from patterns of self-hatred or low self-esteem, and start giving yourself the love that you deserve.
Personal Symbols for Self-Love Jar
Choose small objects that represent you and things you love that you can place in the jar. If you can’t find objects you can print out images that represent you and things you love.
Choose a recent image of yourself. Not something from when you were younger or thinner or whatever “er”. Choose an image of yourself now, something that you think makes you look/feel pretty/strong/confident, etc., that showcases your best features, or that you like just because. Print it in a size that will fit inside the jar of your choice.
Accessories for Self-Love Jar
Seashells
Red feathers
Red and pink glitter
Hearts
To start the spell cleanse yourself (sage, selenite, sound, etc.) then cast a circle (cast it around the entire house so moving around doesn’t break it).
I call upon the North, element of Earth, please nurture us and lend your strength. I call upon East, element of air, please share your clarity and wisdom. I call upon South, element of fire, we need your confidence. I call upon west, element of water; please share with us your compassion. I call upon Spirit; please lend us your guidance and light. Please circle us tonight protect us while we do magic share your power with us.
We welcome the Goddess to our circle, to join us on this spring equinox to bless us with your gift of renewal and rebirth. We come out of the darkness of winter and we shall bloom and rejoice in this new cycle of love and healing.
As you light the incense and gather your materials call upon the Goddess
I
call upon the Goddess to set me free
To
break the chains binding me
to
the hatred of the image I see in the mirror
Set
me free from self loathing
Stop
my continuous replay of my mistakes and failures
Help
me to let go
Help
me to forgive myself
Help
me love myself
Goddess
please hear my plea
Help
me learn to love me
As I will so mote it be
Cut letter into strips
Light a black candle and use it to set the trips of your letter or list of forgiveness on fire.
Put them in the cauldron.
As it all burns envision letting go of it all.
Let go of all those things that were weighing you down and holding you back.
Say these words:
I
forgive myself
I
let the flames take it all away
I
let it all go
I
burn away the past
I
burn away the pain
I
burn away the fear
I
burn away the self hatred
I
burn away the blame
I
forgive myself
I
am safe
I
am loved
I
am free
I am forgiven
After everything has burned and the flames go out it is time to raise your vibration.
Do something that raises your energy and vibration- listen to music, dance, use singing bowls, meditate…
Once you have raised your vibration come back to the spell area and light the pink and red candles.
Light the rose incense.
Call upon the Goddess
Goddess
hear my plea
Open
my eyes to the beauty inside me
Help
me accept that I am strong, I am worthy, I am wise, I am deserving
Goddess
help me see all that is amazing about me
As I will so mote it be
Now write a love letter to yourself. Describe all the things you love about yourself. Talk about the gratitude you have for your body, your brain, the things about you that are positive, that you love. Be kind and loving to yourself like you would if you were writing to your best friend.
When your letter is complete put in it an envelope or fold it small enough to fit in your jar. Seal it with wax.
Now start putting together your jar. Make it pretty.
Put your letter in the jar.
Seal the jar with wax. Tie a ribbon or string around the jar.
Release the elements of the circle.
Place the jar on your altar or
somewhere you will see it daily.
