What You’ll Need:
Mini Pumpkins
Black Spray Paint
Latex or Nitrile Gloves
Modge Podge
Black Glitter
Foam Brush
Thick Black Craft Paper or Black Cardstock
Scissors
Push Pins or Sewing Pins
How to Make It:
Spray paint your pumpkins black.
Make sure you are in a well-ventilated area and that your work station is covered so you don’t get overspray everywhere. I paint outside then bring the items in to dry.
Wear latex or nitrile gloves to avoid getting paint on your hands.
You’ll probably need at least two coats to completely cover each pumpkin.
While pumpkins are drying trace and cut out your bat wings and ears. Fold spots indicated by dotted lines.
Once your pumpkins are completely dry you can start adding glitter.
Grab your Mod Podge and a foam paintbrush.
Coat the areas of your pumpkin you want to cover in glitter with Mod Podge.
Shake glitter onto the Mod Podge areas.
Shake off excess glitter onto a piece of paper.
If you have bare spots, add more mod podge and glitter, shake off excess glitter.
Repeat until your pumpkins are coated to your satisfaction. Place them somewhere to dry overnight.
Do the same with the bat wings and ears. Patterns for ears and wings can be found in the back of the book.
Once everything is dry attach ears and wings with sewing pins or small push pins.
