The last stop on our Spooky Summer Roadtrip was Sleepy Hollow, New York.
We tried to hit all the main spooky attractions that were in or around New England and along our road trip route, plus a side trip into New York City. We had to see Times Square and Central Park.
The first stop on our road trip was the Lizzie Borden House, then we hit Salem, MA, then ended at Sleepy Hollow. I do hope to visit Salem again.
There was so much we didn't get to see in the short amount of time we were there.
Honestly, by the time, we were ready to explore Sleepy Hollow we were exhausted and ready to head home.
But we still hit the cemetery, saw the bridge, and found Washington Irving's grave site.
On our way out of town, we stopped at the neat Headless Horseman statue and made a quick trip into a gift shop.
I wish we would have had more time and not been so tired but we tried to do all the things while on that side of the US and it was just too much.
Next time we fly and we stick to one city/area to explore.
I'm too old, cranky, and impatient to sit in a car for 14-16 hours again.
