My bestie and I went to NOLA for Halloween with our husbands. We put in a lot of time planning our costumes while the guys get some dressy vests and then we had to accessorize to spook them up.
We ended up finding these hats at Spirit Halloween. I totally forgot to take a photo of my husband's before I started the makeover but it was just basic off white bones and skull.
I jazzed it up by making the skull and bones gold and blue. Added blue paint to the aged holes and rubbed gold on the hat band. Made it match my blue and gold costume.
The hat above is how her husband's hat started. I added red and silver paint to hers along with some black and red feathers we had left from her costume. You can see below how nice it matched her costume upon completion.
